LOW-COST DOG-CAT SPAY-NEUTER CLINICS in APRIL-MAY 2018

DON'T LITTER, FIX YOUR CRITTER!
The Sheriff's Dept. is hosting spay-neuter (S-N) clinics in Taos
for Taos County residents using Taos County Taxpayer funds.

Clinic Dates:
April 28-29, May 5-6, 19-20, 26-27 (Saturday/Sunday)


Per the Sheriff's preference: These clinics are mainly for DOGs (~80%), but there are some CAT appts.

Towns of Taos, Questa* & Red River & Pueblo residents are NOT eligible for these particular clinics,
but there is absolutely FREE spay/neuter-vaccines for Dogs & Cats
available for all of Taos Town/County/Pueblo elsewhere.


Qualifications for these particular local clinics:
(1) Be a Taos County resident (Towns of: Taos, Questa* & Red River, as well as Pueblos, are excluded)
(2) If not already licensed, you must purchase a $10 pet license at the clinic.
(3) If not already microchipped, your pet must be chipped for $10 at the clinic.
(4) Spay/Neuter surgery & rabies vaccine are provided at no-cost if conditions (1-3) are met.
(5) No licensing or microchips required for feral cats (= NO FEES)
(6) License and microchip are FREE for those on WIC, Medicaid, Medicare or Social Security.
(7) If not already up-to-date, your pet must be vaccinated against Rabies at the clinic.
(8) If not already up-to-date, you may purchase an optional parvo-distemper dog vaccine,
or FVRCP cat vaccine for ~$10 at the clinic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

$10 pet license
$10 microchip
~$10 Parvo/FVRCP vaccine (optional)
~$20-30 typically needed for spay-neuter clinic day

PAWS will be performing the surgeries.

Drop off & pick up the same day.
Minimum weight to receive the Rabies vaccine is typically 3 pounds.
Pregnant mom dogs & cats fine with vet approval.
 
*Some outlying areas of Questa are eligible (outside the Questa Town limits), please ask when you call.

There is absolutely FREE spay/neuter-vaccines for PET CATs at the Salazar Rd Vet 505-466-1676
& all cats (pet/feral/outdoor) at the Española Valley Humane (EVHS) 505-753-0228
for Taos Town/County/Pueblo CATs. Free cat microchip too at EVHS if you want it for your cat.

There is absolutely FREE spay/neuter-vaccines for dogs at the Española Valley Humane
for Taos Town/County/Pueblo DOGs on M, W, Fridays: 505-753-0228.


 


Taos County has a dog & cat overpopulation problem, so please spay your dog or cat BEFORE she/he makes a litter.
