Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic

Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic is a full service small animal clinic in Taos.  They have 4 doctors that offer a full range of veterinary services.  Wellness care, surgery, diagnostics including in house labwork and radiology, alternative medicine and some exotics care are all offered.  They have a doctor on call 24 hours a day although they do share emergency services with Taos Veterinary Clinic.

This veterinary clinic provides lower cost spay-neuter & other vet services to the following non-profit
501(c)(3) organizations: Taos Feral Feline Friends (TFFF), Zimmer Feline Foundation, Four Corners Animal League (FCAL) & Northern New Mexico Friends of Animals (NNMFOA), and
Stray Hearts Animal Shelter.  Members of the Salazar Road Veterinary Clinic participate in TFFF's walkathon fundraiser.

Taos Veterinary Clinic

This veterinary clinic provides reduced-cost dog spay-neuter services to the following non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations: Four Corners Animal League (FCAL), Northern New Mexico Friends of Animals (NNMFOA), and Stray Hearts Animal Shelter.

Dr. Holly Johnson offers traditional Chinese medicine for cats & dogs. Dr. Holly Johnson has performed countless spay-neuter surgeries for the Stray Hearts Animal Shelter and
other nearby humane societies. Dr. Holly Johnson has donated her veterinary expertise at one of Planned Pethood Taos' mobile spay-neuter cat clinics.


Colfax County veterinary clinics donate time and services to provide free or low cost spay-neuter.  Some Taos County residents may be may be able to get a spay-neuter appointment quicker by utilizing one of these vets.  Please first contact the organization participating with these local vets in order to get a free spay-neuter for your cat or reduced-cost spay-neuter for your dog.
 
Mesa Vista Vet Hospital, Angel Fire Small Animal Hospital & Raton Animal Hospital all participate in providing free cat spay-neuter-vaccines for those with Zimmer Feline Foundation vouchers.
